Please note:
The default delivery will remain as remote delivery via Microsoft Teams administered by CPD@UCS. This is reflected in the content/ timings as stated. Should Government policy/University of Chester policy change we will revert to ‘face2face’ delivery if/ when appropriate.
This course will be delivered over 2 sessions to provide both middle and senior leaders of Primary schools with a ‘tool box’ of strategies that will support and hold others to account through school improvement
Session 1: 18.05.22 payment required to cover both sessions.
Session 2: 17.06.22 no charge as payment has already been made.
Outcomes
Delegates will:
have a secure understanding of what coaching is and why it matters
have reflected on the skills required to be an effective coach
developed feedback and coaching skills to promote the improvement of teaching
and learning
become familiar with different models of coaching – e.g. Grow Model (Whitmore)
, Impact Cycle (Knight), 6 step model (Bambrick-Santoyo)
gain clarity around an approach to lesson observations which focuses on the
identification of small improvement steps;
have used strategic monitoring tools to measure the impact of improvement

considered how the use of video can maximise teacher learning and development
