Content
This
course is suitable for EYFS teachers and literacy curriculum leads.
It will look at the role phonic plays in early
reading, going behind the criteria of the core validation and develop an
awareness of what good practice looks like.
It will then widen out to the importance of early
reading including the love of reading. It will look at current research
including The reading framework.
Outcomes
Delegates will:
- Understand the role of phonics in early reading
- Develop an understanding of the research that supports early reading
- Understand the link between being read to and developing a love of reading
