These termly meetings will update safeguarding leads on all aspects of the national and local agendas regarding their role and professional development. The network allows for any key updates on data, research and evidence-based practice for safeguarding to be shared.
The network also provides opportunity for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) and Deputy DSLs to share practice with other DSLs from local primary and secondary schools.
Outcomes
Schools will:
- Receive guidance to update safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
- Receive local updates from Shropshire Safeguarding Community Partnership (SSCP) and other local agencies
- Allow for information sharing between network meetings and schools safeguarding group
- Identify priorities for support and further guidance
