This Designated Safeguarding Lead training is for newly appointed Designated safeguarding leads working within an Early Years setting. (NOT SCHOOLS)
Please note: Part 1 and 2 of this training must be accessed to receive certification
Outcomes
Participants will:
- Have an increased knowledge of guidance and requirements relating to child protection and safeguarding children
- Explore the Shropshire Safeguarding community partnership threshold document and current priorities
- Consider the role and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead in Early Years and Childcare settings
- Recap on signs and indicators of abuse
- Consider the importance of safeguarding culture, professional curiosity and safer working practices
- Explore the importance of recording and reporting concerns inline with SSCP referral process.
