Please note:
This training course is suitable for those who are undertaking the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and have already attended the newly appointed designated safeguarding lead training.
This course is currently being delivered remotely therefore it has been split into three modules. Attendance at all 3 sessions is required for certification process
The course aims to cover the following areas:
- Update on the legislative framework and compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022
- To increase awareness of local and national safeguarding updates
- To recognise the impact of Domestic Abuse and the local pathways for Shropshire
- To increase awareness of neglect and local procedures
- To be able to identify different types of exploitation; how children are exploited and local procedures
