This half -day course identifies the most common misconceptions children have linked to the primary science curriculum.

During this session, we will cover, background knowledge, ideas, activities and approaches to help ensure that pupils have the best possible chance of replacing their misconceptions in science with current scientific thinking and lay firm foundations for increased scientific understanding.

  • To understand the background scientific knowledge for these common misconceptions.
  • To leave with a range of ideas, activities, and teaching approaches to help children let go of misconceptions and form new ideas.
