The Schools Safeguarding Network Meetings are for safeguarding leads across primary, secondary and all age schools in Shropshire.
They are held on a termly basis throughout the academic year.
Outcomes
Safeguarding
networks will:
- Provide an
opportunity for focused discussion/updates on particular topics relevant
to safeguarding children in education. These updates will be relevant to
key national and local priorities relevant to safeguarding children and
may include guest speakers.
- Provide a
supportive forum for Safeguarding Leads from schools across Shropshire to
discuss and share their practice experiences with one another in order to
enable them to reflect on and enhance their safeguarding practice
- Enable Local
Authority Safeguarding Officers to engage and listen to schools; so that
any key themes that highlight strengths or challenge in safeguarding
practice for schools and their role in the multi-agency approach to
safeguarding children in Shropshire can be fed back to the Local Authority
and Shropshire Safeguarding Community Partnership.
