Content
This course is for Designated safeguarding leads working within an Early Years setting who have completed the Newly appointed training and are due for a 2 yr Refresher course.
Outcomes
The
training will aim to:
· Provide
updates to key pieces of legislation or statutory guidance relevant to their
role (including key updates to Keeping Children Safe in Education)
· Refresh
knowledge on the key activities required to ensure there is a whole setting
approach to safeguarding
· Refresh knowledge of the local approach to safeguarding children in Shropshire in line with Shropshire Safeguarding Community Partnership arrangements, processes and practice guidance.
· Provide updates on any key pieces of local and national learning and research relevant to their role in order to promote evidence-based safeguarding practice.
