| This course provides: a) an overview of EAL b) its impact on learning, c) reviews assessment of EAL pupils, d) practical teaching strategies and resources |
Outcomes
| Delegates will: a) look at the particular needs of pupils who are new to English and/or new to the UK b) look at how best to support the induction of newly arrived EAL learners c) understand the language acquisition and development of language in EAL learner d) understand the needs of their EAL pupils an how to plan appropriately for them, e) develop a range of practical approaches and resources which will enhance the development of English as an Additional Language |
